Answering Your Comments #11
Welcome to Tuesday Hearties! I hope you all are doing well, and as always staying safe! I have some more replies to give to you guys! Again thank you guys for taking time out of your day to read my posts, and wanting to share your thoughts with me! It's fun hearing what you have to say! We had quite the episode this week! (My thoughts coming soon! :)
Also, FYI, I'm running a poll on my Twitter page for the two teams if your interested. It's pinned so feel free to hop on over and leave a vote if you'd like! I'm running it until a few hours before the next episode premieres so you have LOTS of time! (I kind of went a bit over board with the time limit...Lol!)
Well, let's get to the comments!

You already know most of my thoughts on this episode, lol. And of
course, this is another wonderful review (Lucas-ness notwithstanding
:D). I loved the Jesse/Clara and Rosemary/Lee storylines in this
episode! They were so cute. And I thought it was beyond hilarious when
Rosemary, Molly, and Florence were all reduced to speechlessness when
Nathan came back to town! Everyone somehow knows just how their Mountie
feels about their schoolteacher, and they don't want to be the ones to
break his heart! I thought that was kind of sweet. Allie being all
protective of her uncle was cute too.
Regarding Nathan's
reaction to Elizabeth when she got back, I think it was a perfectly
appropriate one. He's sad and he's hurt. I thought it was a gracious
response, under the circumstances. He has this push and pull going on in
the triangle with his emotions that Lucas doesn't. Lucas almost seems
too confident that he's won, while Nathan is so insecure about his
chances. It'll be interesting to see where the writers take this. Chris
McNally made a comment in an interview prior to the season that made it
clear where Lucas stood in terms of the triangle. Do you want me to tell
you what that was, or would that be a spoiler? (You can send me a DM on
Twitter if you want to know).
I'm one of the Hearties who was
surprised by Lucas seemingly rushing Elizabeth to get going. I kept
wondering why in the world he was looking at his watch and telling her
they had to go. Yes, they had to get to Union City, and I might have
accepted that line of reasoning....IF Lucas hadn't planned on stopping
on the way for a leisurely picnic. If he had time to spare for a picnic,
he darn well should have let Elizabeth have the time she needed for her
little boy. (I feel a little strongly about this...can you tell? :D).
My
overall thoughts on this episode were so conflicted. I felt nervous
about Nathan's chances for only the second time this season, and it was a
rather unsettling feeling. It's going to be very interesting to see how
they wrap things up in the next three episodes! Any way you look at it,
they can't end it on too crazy of a cliffhanger, because there is going
to be a time jump to next season. There's no way getting around that
since the Taylor twins are getting older and bigger by the day. They
can't just pick up where they left off like they did from season 2 to
season 3. But I have faith in our writers. They are so good at giving us
beautiful, heartfelt stories, so I trust they know where they're going.
Doesn't mean it's not stressful for us who are going into it blindly,
though! :D

Thanks for sticking with me despite my "Team Lucas-ness!" Lol! Yes, it was funny the way everyone was acting around Nathan! Everybody knows about his feelings for Elizabeth, and like you said, nobody had the heart to break the news to him! Lol!
I believe it's true that Lucas doesn't have the same conflict going on that Nathan does, which scares me. I would like to see some tension between E & L. It could be something as big as Elizabeth pulling away because she's afraid of her feelings, or something as small as them disagreeing over something in her book. Just something to give some conflict, and make things less than perfect. I honestly wish that Elizabeth and Jack would have had more silly arguments like Lee and Rosemary do. It makes things fun and interesting, while making the relationship more real. It also would allow for personal growth as well as growth as a couple. I also would like to know what Chris McNally said, but I'd better wait until the season is over. :)
I understand that Lucas wanted to make time for his picnic, and why people would be upset about him rushing Elizabeth. I don't take it with huge offense. (Doesn't help that I'm Team Lucas! Lol!) I don't know all the particulars and so I can't make a good judgment on it. Could he have given her more time? Probably, but it wasn't as bad as some people say. But everybody is free to have their own opinion! :)
And you are SO right about the time jump to next season! If we don't get some kind of resolution things wont make sense! (And we will go CRAZY! Lol!) I really hope we get an answer. I'm just scared what that may be! Lol! God Bless!

Good morning. Well for me I think Lucas is trying to hard. He doesn't look to be at ease when he talks to Elizabeth and I can't see him as a father. He is to flashy for me. Nathan is more down to earth and as far as Nathan's reaction to Elizabeth when she got back to town, it was appropriate. He was hurt and so sad. Nathan reminds me of Jack and not because of being a Mountie but he kinda acts like Jack and I would love see where this would go and this last episode left me unsettled so we will see this week how Nathan turns everything around I hope. God bless and stay safe.
My Reply
I too like more down to earth and sweet little moments, over big flashy things sometimes. But I think that Lucas is genuine in his words and feelings for Elizabeth. I think he may need to learn that he doesn't have to always go so big in his gestures, and that Elizabeth likes him for himself. And yes, Nathan was very sad and hurt and so his reaction made sense. He is like Jack in the sense that he's shy and can put his foot in his mouth at times, yet he's still his own person with his own personality. I'm very interested to see how these last episodes play out. Lucas may have gotten the first date, but he's not in the clear yet. Elizabeth is still torn, and undecided about her feelings for the two guys. God Bless!

It is so funny how the TeamLucas and TeamNathan comments mirror our society in general and our political world in particular. I am TeamLucas BTW. We see the same set of facts and come to different conclusions. There is no attempt at compromise and changing your mind is seen as a weakness. I think changing my mind is a good thing because I have arrived at a better decision from the new information. With that said, I am tired and quarantined and don't want to talk about the "Teams". I want to share a few thoughts about the continuing impact of the Lori Loughlin departure. This all came to mind with the Jesse and Clara scenes. This is Abigail's old residence, right? Abigail co-owned the cafe with Bill and lived above the cafe with Cody which formerly included Cody's sister. Clara, as Abigail's daughter-in-law, is maintaining the property or will inherit if Abigail is ever declared dead? This is all so confusing, and it doesn't matter in a TV show, but bothers some viewers like me apparently. This brought back sad feelings that Carter Ryan Evancic lost his job because a co-star got into some legal trouble? Sounds unfair. I am convinced that Cody would be welcomed back by all #Hearties with even the most flimsy explanation as to where he has been. #Hearties love romance. Is Cody old enough to date? Can he date Elizabeth's babysitter? So sad when Carter posted about his grief over the death of former co-star Logan Williams. I really hoped this season would address the Abigail situation, but nothing so far. Imagine the irony if she is found not guilty as a recent article suggested. I hope someone is working on a story line to bring her back if she is innocent. Hallmark values would seem to support a return if such a basic principle of our legal system as the innocent are not punished is found to be appropriate, but let's hope they bring Cody back regardless. I really wanted Lee and Rosemary to be declared his guardians after an Abigail disappearance. Imagine the awesome scenes between parental-figure Rosemary and hormone-raging teen Cody. Hijinks would surely ensue.
My Reply
I agree that it is sad that Carter lost his job on WCTH because of Lori. He didn't do anything, and Hearties would love to have him back for any reason. I believe the writers could do it if they wanted. Problem is that then there would have to be an explanation of why he's there, which would require him to mention Abigail which nobody is doing.
I'm not sure if Abigail will ever be referred to again at this point. The wedding episode was the perfect opportunity and nothing was ever said. I also think that, should Lori be found innocent, it is a possibly that she could come back. I may have read Brian Bird making comments about it somewhere, but I don't recall exactly what he said. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Rosemary and Lee would make wonderful parents for Cody, but the only way I see that happening is if Abigail were to die, or they would be made temporary guardians so he could come back to Hope Valley. Again, I think that the writers could find a way to bring him back, but they haven't done it so far. Guess we'll see! God Bless!

Sorry for the late reply. I am only seeing these episodes now that they are showing them on the Hallmark Channel. This was my favorite so far. Fred and Tess is an interesting idea, but it seems more like she would be getting a ranch foreman instead of a kid as Chuck doesn't want the job. Reeks of slave labor. I just don't trust Tess, but you clearly saw a more maternal interest. I am nervous about a potential love triangle with Lucie. Chuck clearly wants Grace only, but maybe triangle is the wrong word as Lucie is just a trouble maker. The problem is that Grace is so skittish that Lucie could be highly effective as a delay tactic. Sam is great for comic relief, but it sure does seem like Lillian and Gabe are endgame. Not sure why Mountie was the gold standard for single men in that territory. Polish, education, bravery? It is hard not to root for Sam as a classic underdog. I keep hearing that Season 2 is not a lock. Not sure why. Who doesn't want to see orphans getting a break? Townspeople aren't as interesting? Of course there is no Rosemary, but I like Joe and Maggie, and I have laughed out loud at Ronnie. Fingers crossed for Season 2!
My Reply
No need to be sorry! People can comment on any post they like, no matter how old it is! It's great that Hallmark has finally decided to air the WHC episodes on TV. Now lots of people can enjoy it!
I agree that Tess is not a perfect person, and can be very rough around the edges. But I do see good in her, and I feel she would love Fred as her own son should she adopt him.
As for Lucie, she's definitely got some spunk to her. If she were to butt in, Grace would definitely feel threatened, and second guess herself.
And with Sam, he's a good man. He's funny, kind, and caring. I personally want to see Lillian with Gabe, but I want Sam to have a happy ending too! I really don't know what's going to happen as far as Season 2. Nothing has been announced yet, for some reason. I'm wondering if it will be at the end of WCTH's current season, but again I really don't know. I'd think we'd get another season with how much people liked the first one. God Bless!
That's all for now folks! Lol! Feel free to share your thoughts with me in the comments below and again I will try and put out some replies next week! Also feel free to comment on my Twitter page which is linked in the right side bar! Stay safe and God Bless!
I love both Lucas and Nathan and am sorry one of them will get hurt. But I feel Nathan is a better match for Elizabeth. He's sincere and genuine and doesn't rush things. He understands the complexity of Elizabeth's situation as a widow and mother. Lucas genuinely likes her yes but not sure he truly understands her
ReplyDeleteLucas is passionate and romantic while Nathan is more sincere and shy but has just as much passion and hopefully show it one day. I hope this triangle ends soon as I'm not enjoying it and find it unnecessary
I actually believe that perhaps Elizabeth isn't suited to either because if she truly loved either one she wouldn't be so upset and confused about them
Either way I hope whoever Elizabeth chooses the other will find happiness too
what was the comment that chris mcnally made in the interview i missed that i think nathan in a lot of ways is like jack and i wish they would bring cody back miss him to god bless
