What if They Were a Couple? #FloYo

       For my next addition of, What if They Were a Couple, I will be examining the possibility of two people many may not have considered being a couple until the season finale of S6. 

       A humble store owner married to the town gossip? Where have I heard that before?
      The idea of Ned Yost and Florence as a couple, I think, is a neat one. Not only will we get to learn a little bit more about these two, but the possibilities for humor and cute romantic gestures are endless!

Their Personalities

       Okay. Where to start? Well, anyone who has been watching this show knows about Florence and her vital contribution to Hope Valley. She just can't seem to ignore a good piece of news. What can I say? She loves to share and sharing is a good thing right? But all of that aside she is a very kind and caring woman. She may come off a bit strong at times, but she truly cares for her friends and those around her and wants the best for everyone.

      As for Ned, I actually believe that him and Florence share a lot in common. He's bold with his opinions, enjoys being in the loop with what's going on, yet still is a sweet and kind man. He cares for others and is willing to participate to make his hometown a better place.

       They compliment each other nicely and would work very well together.

Their Pasts

       Another thing worth mentioning is the fact that they've both, I'm assuming for Yost, been married, lost a spouse, and have children. I have to guess this for Ned because he's just been a more minor character and what happened to his wife just was never brought up. He has his daughter Katie so that indicates he had a wife, and I'm guessing that she probably died. (Very sad!) Otherwise why wouldn't he have danced with her instead of Florence? This would make them very understanding of each other and have lots to talk about!

Their Occupations

       This is where the Watons show up.

      Both of their jobs work so well together. Ned running the store while Florence sits in the back with the telephone. Perfect! They'd get to work together all day long, which, looking to the future, would be very convenient if they...I don't know... got married. Yeah, that might be jumping the gun a bit, but it's true. Florence could learn how to run the store and help Ned, and though he would scold her, Ned would benefit from the 'first ten seconds' Florence would get to hear from her job.

How Would They Come Together?

       The answer to this question practically writes itself. With Florence's new job there will be plenty of time for them to get 'acquainted' with each other. Over time they'll get to know each other and before long Jesse and Clara wont be the only newly married couple in town. I'm guessing that they'll both be shy and kind of awkward at first but in the end it'll all work out!


       In conclusion, I only have one question that only the WCTH Writers can answer...How long must we wait!?!
