Answering Your Comments #7
Howdy hey, and welcome to another Monday! Quite the episode we got, is it not? I'll save my comments for my review, but I will say it's got me thinking alright!
Now to get down to the main point! I have some more comments to answer! Thanks again for all the comments! I hope this system of response is working for everyone. Feel free to comment to this post and I will try and answer you next week!
Anyhow, enough with the chit-chat! Let's get to the comments. (Which in reality is just more of me chit-chatting! :D)

Thanks for the replies! I'd love to know how in the world the writers
will resolve this triangle without disappointing half the fan base. I
would feel crushed if she picks Lucas, and I know there are Team Lucas
people who would feel the same if she picks Nathan. Unless there's some
major betrayal by one of the guys -- which doesn't seem likely -- some
people are going to be upset. Alfonso did an interview with the
Hallmarkies podcast that kind of explained why there's a love triangle,
or at least why they brought in another Mountie after Jack died, but I
don't want to say anything because I don't know if you would consider it
to be spoiler-ish. What he said made sense, but it still leaves us with
the problem of Hearties being disappointed with the outcome. To be
honest, I usually avoid love triangles. That's why I stopped watching When
Hope Calls several episodes in -- couldn't handle another dang
triangle. I might consider rewatching if they resolve that in the next
season (assuming there is a second season). I just want a resolution to
this part of the story, but I'm sure they're going to drag it out to the
season finale, if not longer. While the triangle has given us some funny moments, this just isn't good for my heart, lol!
If you had to guess at where the show would take the triangle, what would you say as of today?
My Reply
Oh my, yes! My poor heart has suffered so much these past nine months or more! This has been one of, if not the most stressed out I've ever been during a season. Even when Jack left it wasn't like this, as he died at the end of the season. I agree that, unless something happens, a LOT of people are going to be super disappointed and upset. I understand the excitement that comes with a love triangle, and it is fun at times, but not when the person you want doesn't get picked. I'm in the same boat as you, but just on the other side. I'll be SO disappointed if Elizabeth doesn't pick Lucas, and I totally understand your feelings even though your rooting for Nathan. Same thing only different sides of the coin.

The When Hope Calls love triangle, I'm not as worried about, as the promo pics were of Lillian and Gabe, and they are both on the cover. I'm more confident here, but I too hope that it's resolved by the next season, should they have one.
My thoughts on this love triangle, as of now, come from a collective bunch of quotes from the cast and crew, and my own speculations on the show. My hopes are that Nathan looks like the obvious choice, but she falls for Lucas who's been there all along. I feel that Lucas truly cares about Elizabeth, and really wants the best for her. So much so that he'd he willing to back away if it meant that she would be happier with Nathan. Yet again I could see Nathan doing the same thing, and backing away so she could be with Lucas, as Nathan cares about her too. (These poor guys...Lol!)
As for where they will actually take this I'm not sure. Things need to get rolling soon if we are to have a resolution by the end of this season which I really REALLY want. I wonder if Elizabeth will kinda go with one guy, as she denies her deeper feeling for the other, and then eventually go with him. She's probably going to have a bunch of scenes with both guys as she sorts her feelings out.
As for when it will end, I'm not sure. I feel that they could do a couple of different things. Wrap it all up at the finale of this season, come to a decision at the finale but wait to have them kiss until the next season, or they could drag it out a WHOLE SEASON LONGER! This is a fear of mine, and I really, really, really hope that they don't do it. I just want her to pick someone, no matter the guy, and be done with the torture. (But you know who I'm hoping for! Lol!)
It feels like they could go either way at this point, but I'm hoping for the best. I would be wonderful if there was a way for everyone to be happy, but "Luther Brant" doesn't exist. :D
Thanks for sharing! God Bless!

A lot has been made of Brian Bird's comment that this triangle will be like a Nascar race, but to be honest, I think that was just him stirring the proverbial pot. He never said one would come from behind to win. He simply said it would look like one could be winning, then the other would catch up, then the other pull ahead, then...etc. All the producers/writers specialize in words to throw us off track. Personally, I take everything they say with a very big grain of salt.
That being said, I'm not sure who the dark horse would be. By all outward appearances, Lucas has the advantage. He's kind, smooth, rich, successful, easy to talk to, encourages Elizabeth. But he just feels like the "other guy" does in Hallmark movies. Nathan feels like the "Hallmark guy" in my opinion. But then, I know there are a million and one opinions between fans. I don't see the spark between Lucas and Elizabeth, but Team Lucas people do. Team Nathan people see the spark between Elizabeth and Nathan, while Lucas fans don't. I find it highly interesting that perspectives are varied based on which team someone is on. I'd love to know what an unbiased person's opinion on this whole triangle is. It seems obvious to me that Nathan is the right choice, while it seems obvious to you that Lucas is. But, like you, I just want this darned triangle to be resolved!!
I'm really hoping the writers give us an explanation at the end of the season as to why they purposefully wanted to divide Hearties between Nathan and Lucas. Seems like quite the gamble to me (Lucas would approve ). I'm on pins and needles this season!!!

I'm with you! This has been a roller coaster of a ride! I agree it would be interesting to know what an un-bias person would think about this whole thing. It's way too easy for people to find all the good with the guy they want to win, and all the bad with the one they don't want. After this is all over I'm going to go read and watch all the interviews and things I've stayed away from before and during this season. I wonder if they will do an interview after this season is over and explain everything. They did a whole video interview with Erin, Daniel, Lori, and Brian Bird to explain Jack's death after Season 5. Maybe we will at least get a news article of some sort that has an interview with Alfonse or Brian Bird.
Also I have heard some of what Brian Bird said through social media, but maybe I've only heard half of it. This does put a different spin on it, as it pretty much just tells us that they are going to keep doing what they have already been doing. And that would be dragging our poor hearts all over the place! :D
I agree that, for a lot of reasons, Nathan does seem to be the obvious choice, and the "Hallmark guy." The glances, the way the show has played things off, and just the red serge can point there at times. I guess, as usual, time will tell. I'm still holding out for Lucas though! (But I didn't have to tell you that, did I? Lol!)

Stress? What stress?? Lol, I get it! This whole triangle is very stressful. I'll be glad when they finally resolve it.

Lol! SO stressful! I want a resolution to this whole thing, but at the same time I'm scared of what it might be. (You get it. :D ) God Bless!
Thanks again for all the comments! Feel free to leave one below or on my Twitter page! God Bless!
What??? You're Team Lucas?!?!? No way! 😁🤣😂 I agree, this triangle had better NOT drag on for another season. This has been such a stressful season, while still managing to be a good and engaging one. That's quite a feat on the part of the writers. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to my comments! 🙂
